Yogi Babu is a film and television actor and comedian, hailing from India. He exclusively works in Tamil cinema and also a victor of three Avanda Vikatan Cinema Awards. While he rose to fame after his performances in movies “Aandavan Kattalai” released 2016, “Kolamavu Kokila” (2018), and others that are worth sharing.

He was born on 22^nd July 1985, India. He is the son of a constable in the Indian Army. He traveled a lot because of his father’s postings so he studied from Jammu in the 1990s.

Career

Yogi Babu started his career as a comedian and he was approached by a famed director Ram Bala who featured him in his television series “Lollu Sabha”. Later, Ram Bala asked Yogi Babu to work as a film actor, and after his affirmative answer, he then introduced Yogi Babu as a novice artist.

Later, Yogi Babu worked as an assistant director in the series and also helped in writing scenes for 2 years.

In 2009, he made a debut movie “Ameer” and also appeared in another movie “Paiyaa” in which he worked as a goon.

In 2012, he appeared in Sunder C.s’s directorial Kalakalappu’s for which he earned huge acclaim.

In 2013, he appeared for the first time as a comedian in the movie named “Pattathu Yaanai”. And he also made appearances in the Bollywood movies, such as; “Chennai Express” in which he worked alongside superstar Shahrukh Khan.

In 2014, he rose to fame for his comedy performance in “Maan Karate” and also enthralled viewers by his much-appreciated performance “Yaamirukka Bayamey”.

In 2015, he also appeared in “Kaaka Muttai”, “Kirumi” and others. While Yogi Babu worked in more than 20 movies and won the critical acclaim for the role played in the movie “Aandavan Kattalai”.

However, he has established himself as a successful actor who has worked in both television and films as well. And, he is also working in several movies and even his last movie was released in 2019.
