Kelly Ripa was not in the hospital and she is not sick. 

Back in March 2021, Ripa took a much-needed break from the morning talk show, Live! with Kelly and Ryan, to enjoy some time to herself, as per Distractify. 

She had been filming continuously so the television host decided to enjoy some time off with her family.

Ripa did not mention how she spent her time off but she definitely got some well-deserved rest away from her hectic work schedule.

Television host Maria Menounos stepped in to fill her role. In the past, Ripa’s co-host Ryan has also taken some time off from work.

Kelly Ripa was born to her family in Berlin, New Jersey. Her mother, Esther, was a homemaker.

Her father, Joseph Ripa, was a labor union president and bus driver. He attended Rutgers University. In 2009, he became the Democratic County Clerk for Camden County. 

Ripa’s sister Linda is a children’s book author. 

Further, Ripa is the first in her family to go into acting professionally. 

Who Is Kelly Ripa Husband?

Kelly Ripa is married to her husband Mark Consuelos, who is best known for his performance on the ABC soap opera All My Children.

Ripa and Consuelos met on the sets of All My Children and fell in love. They tied the knot on May 1, 1996. The couple settled in Crosby Street in SoHo, Manhattan. 

But, they sold their Crossby Street home in 2015 and moved to a townhouse on East 76th Street. 

Ripa welcomed three children with her husband. Her eldest, Michael Joseph was born on 2 June 1997 followed by Lola Grace on 16 June 2001.

Her youngest child Joaquin Antonio was born on February 24, 2003.
