Troy Landry won the 350 tags on Swamp People Season 14. Troy owns Duffy’s Shell Station based in Pierre Part, Louisiana, on Highway 70.

Swamp People is an American reality TV series first broadcast on History Channel on August 22, 2010. The show profiles the day-to-day activities of alligator hunters who hunt them for a living.

Living in the swamps of the Atchafalaya River, the hunters follow a tradition dating back about three centuries. They earn most of their income in a high-risk vocation depending on their experience.

Alligator hunting has been legal in Louisiana for around five decades. The hunting season only lasts 30 days each year, and hunters must rush to fill their yearly quota during this period.

Each hunter is issued certain tags to attach to their kills; the season is over once they run out of tags.—the final episode of the fourteenth season aired on April 27, 2023.

Swamp People Season 14 premiered on January 5, 2023, and had its finale just a day before. This season the hunters had some 350 prime gator tags at stake. So who won the clash? Let’s find out.

Who Won The 350 Tags On Swamp People?

Troy Landry won the 350 Tags on the fourteenth season of Swamp People. Troy joined the Swamp People in its first season in 2010.

After watching the grand season finale, it is safe to say there is a reason why Landry is and has been the King of the Swamp forever. “Troy will always be the King of the Swamp,” fans applaud.

“I am glad that the Landrys are the winners,” another individual added.

Team Landry had a head-to-head competition with Willie Edwards and his son, Little Willie. The later team had one boat, and only Willie was on it for most of the season.

A fan said, “To lose by 1/4 of an inch is gut-wrenching.”

However, looking at people’s reviews, they are clearly super satisfied with the season finale and, of course, the season winner. Viewers are already hoping to see Landry and his team next year.

From the start of the season, Troy Landry aimed to get an early lead, with Ronnie setting his eyes on dethroning the King of the Swamp People.

During the season, Ashley and Anna also tried their luck to knock Landry off his throne.

But with proven track records and years of experience, the hunter was already attempting to run a record-breaking 100 lines alone by Episode 8, which aired on February 23, 2023.

In Episode 14, he called upon his decades of swamp wisdom to regain the lead in the competition. And yes, his hard work and dedication paid off, and he was crowned the King of Swamp once again.

Troy Landry Remains The King of Swamp

The King of Swamp Landry is the quintessential Cajun swamp man whose family goes back three generations. He is the loving son of Duffy and Myrtle Landry.

He has been with History’s Swamp People since its inaugural season in 2010. During his time on the show, fans saw him win, lose, compete, battle life-threatening cancer, and be the King of Swamp.

On June 1, 2022, he took to his Facebook account to announce his successful prostate surgery. He captioned the post, “Surgery went good. No more prostate. It was eating up with cancer.”

In August 2022, his son, Jacob Landry, gave an update on his father’s health. He said his dad was getting better.

After recovering, Landry was ready to return to Season 14 of Swamp People to do everything he loves and cherishes the most in his life -say, hunting gators and having fun in the swamp.

He successfully completed this season’s 350 prime gators tags and remained the King.

In addition to his accomplishments, he led the second spinoff, Swamp Mysteries With Troy Landry, which started airing on June 7, 2018.

The spinoff follows the hunter as he collaborates with local experts to catch local problem creatures across the Southern United States. It included one season with six episodes. The last episode aired on July 12, 2018.

A third spinoff, Swamp People Serpent Invasion, landed on the History Channel on March 9, 2020.

The show features Landry, his son, Chase Landry, and Bruce Mitchell teaming with Florida natives Bill Booth and Zak Catchem to eradicate pythons from the Everglades.

The spinoff landed two successful seasons and had twelve episodes.

Swamp People Season 14 Finale and New Season

Swamp People Season 14 finale aired on April 27, 2023, on History Channel at 8/7c. Pierre Part, Louisiana, native Landry won the competition.

The hunters faced a brand-new challenge this season with some 350 prime gator tags on the stake. It was a renewal time for tags in Louisiana, which are often granted in five or ten-year deals.

This year, the landowners who hold the tags clearly intended to work with hunters who amass the enormous beasts.

With the end of the season, fans have taken their social accounts to share their views. “End of another great season of #SwampPeople,” a pleased fan wrote on Twitter.

Another individual wrote, “@SwampPeople, both of your shows are our favourite to watch every week.”

While enjoying the season finale and the win of Landry and his team, people are also eagerly waiting for the hunters to return for the next season. But has History announced Season 15?

Season 15 of Swamp People is yet to be announced officially. History has yet to reveal the renewal/cancellation of the popular show.

However, it appears that the fifteenth season is due to happen, following the mainly positive statistics of Season 14, critics’ and viewers’ consensus, and the overall score of the show on IMDb.

Moreover, the show has attained appreciable television ratings and reception on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.

It has the potential for a more significant profit, and a Network will never cancel a good show. Considering this, Swamp People Season 15 will likely return to our screens next year with more drama and thrill.
