Who Is Svetlana Androsovych? Here’s what we know about the sister of Halyna Hutchins.
Svetlana Androsovych is the sister of Halyna Hutchins.
Her sister was an award-winning cinematographer best known for titles like Archenemy, Darlin,’ and Blindfire. On 21 October 2021, her sister was working in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on the film set of Rust as a photography director when Alec Baldwin accidentally shot her and director Joel Souza.
Assistant director Dave Halls handed a vintage-style Colt to Baldwin and yelled Cold gun! to indicate that it didn’t have live rounds. However, the weapon, which was supposed to be a prop, killed Halyna and fatally injured Joel.
Halyna later died while in treatment at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque.
In response to the whole incident, Svetlana expressed mourned her untimely death in an interview on Friday.

Svetlana Androsovych is the younger sister of the now-deceased cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Her sister was born on 10 April 1979 and died at the age of 42. Considering that, her age is probably between 30 to 40 years. As per Wikipedia, her sister grew up in Murmansk, Russia, on a Soviet military base in the Arctic. She probably grew up in the same place.
Svetlana currently lives in Indonesia. Besides that, she hasn’t revealed much about herself including, her profession and educational qualifications.
After the tragic death of Halyna, she addressed the negligence that ultimately took her sister’s life. She questioned the odds of it happening within a team of professionals and even expressed the whole incident as an “absolutely absurd coincidence.” She also talked about the incident being a setup but believes in God and the investigators.

Regarding Svetlana Androsovych’s husband, everything remains a mystery at the moment. However, we know of her sister’s husband, Matthew Hutchins.
Matthew is an American and met his wife while in Kyiv. More into her family, her father is Anatoly Androsovych, while her mother is Olga. Her father is a former Soviet Navy. Amid the whole incident with Halyna, he refused to hold Alec Baldwin responsible, but the props people.
Additionally, Svetlana’s nine-year-old nephew, Andros, is also in the family. Currently, the whole Androsovych family is trying to fly to the United States and comfort her nephew.
