Antonio Devon Bishop was 25 years old when he was killed by his girlfriend’s ex-lover, Duane Tyreese Hatch. Similarly, the shooting occurred at about 11 p.m inside the Villas Apartment complex located off Golfside Road in Ypsilanti Township, as per court records.

Similarly, Hatch, aged 29, pleaded guilty Tuesday, April 12, to one count each of second-degree murder, assault with a purpose to do great bodily harm and unjustly carrying a hidden weapon about the shooting death of Antonio Devon Bishop.

During his preliminary examination, prosecutors claimed Hatch forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment building, gagged her, then shot Bishop when he left her apartment coming to help.

Likewise, after shooting Bishop once, Hatch looked at his ex-girlfriend, smiled, then shot him 16 more times as he was bleeding on the floor, Hatch’s ex-girlfriend attested in court.

Hatch was instantly identified as a suspect and was arrested and charged with murder momentarily after the shooting.
