Taddeo was serving his 54 years of imprisonment and was pleaded guilty in the year 1992. He was imprisoned at the facility in Coleman, Florida.
In February 2022, the hitman was transferred to a residential halfway house for inmates who are ready to release.
Taddeo had also requested a compassionate release in 2020 citing his health issues and COVID 19 pandemic. Although was denied following his criminal history.

In April 1983, he was hired to kill mob figure, Thomas Marotta on two different occasions. For the first time, he had shot off 11 shots with a .22-caliber handgun, hitting Thomas six times.
Six months later, he had again shot Marotta 10 times with the .22-caliber handgun. However, was unable to take his life.
