During his stay at Montverde Academy, Ryan led the team to a national high school championship on the Geico Nationals match. Throughout the tournament, he contributed 13 assists.

After a few years at Montverde Academy, Ryan received scholarships from various places, including Ohio, Florida, and the Seton Corridor. He did, however, choose to attend Creighton in 2021.
