Stephen Tompkinson is an English actor best known for his roles as Father Peter Clifford in Chancer (1990), Drop the Dead Donkey (1990–1998), and Ballykissangel.

He made his directorial debut in the Midlands in 2006, with the BBC1 afternoon drama The Lightning Kid.

The actor has also presented or narrated several other UK television shows, including a documentary about FIFA’s 100th anniversary.

Stephen Tompkinson, an English actor, had suffered from dementia, a disease that impairs an individual’s memory.

His father was also afflicted with dementia. Unfortunately, his father died of Alzheimer’s disease in 2015.

Stephen’s health is improving. He appeared via video link on Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain to discuss his new dementia campaign with hosts Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid.

The hosts recognized Stephen for the first time after his introduction.

The actor, is a massive supporter of people with dementia and frequently helps them with programs and rallies. He continued his education at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, where he studied alongside James Nesbitt and Rufus Sewell and graduated in 1988.

Tompkinson’s acting career began right after he graduated from drama school. During his final year at the London School of Speech and Drama, he won the Carleton Hobbs Bursary, which led to a contract with the BBC’s Radio Drama Company and roles in radio dramas.

At present, Stephen Tomkinson is in perfect health condition. He is living a healthy lifestyle. However, as mentioned before previously, the anchor had dementia.

In 1999, he hosted the BBC2 documentary Great Railway Journeys: Singapore to Bangkok, which was part of Series 4 of the popular Great Railway Journeys travel documentaries, which aired for many years in the UK and on PBS in the United States.

The actor has done voice-over work for commercials, audiobooks, and narration. BT Childline, British Midland, Motorola, Alton Towers, Bulmers Cider, Tetley Tea, and the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals are among his many commercials.

He later married Nicci Taylor, with whom he has a daughter named Daisy Ellen. However, it was announced in December 2006 that they had separated and would divorce.
