What Happened To Capri Grotowski?

Capri died after battling cancer for over a decade on Saturday, 25 June, as reported by the University. She stepped into FAU as the head coach of the sand volleyball program in the 2014 summer.

With the squad consistently finishing in the top 25 and reaching as high as No. 8 in the national rankings, she quickly transformed the program into a national powerhouse.

In 2021, Grotowski led the Owls to unprecedented heights. She guided FAU to its first CCSA Championship and its highest AVCA ranking at the time (No. 11). On 9 April, her team defeated North Florida 3-2 to surpass the milestone of 100 victories.

Capri Grotowski Husband Steve Grotowski And Their Children

Capri was married to her husband Steve, a British beach volleyball player with whom she shared children. The couple had two kids in their family, a son, Card, and a daughter Kyah.

The family of four has now shrunk down to three and is in grief following her death. She was survived by her husband, Steve, who was one of the first British men to compete in beach volleyball at the Olympics.

As both of them shared the same industry and sports, we believe the pair might have first crossed their path in an event related to beach volleyball. Nevertheless, they were happily married and might have a great married life.
