Stephen Lancaster

Stephen Lancaster is Head of the Graduate Voice Studio Associate Professor of the Practice at the University of Notre Dame. He is also known as the Canadian Baritone. Stephen earned certificates in voice and piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music prior to relocating to the United States of America.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Music from the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago and a Master’s degree in the same domain from the University of Notre Dame. He possesses a doctorate degree in Musical Arts from the University of Michigan.

He is passionate about performing in concert, recital, opera as well as engaging with audiences. in 2007, Stephen joined the Voice faculty of the University of Notre Dame. He was described as a fine storyteller by the American Record Guide while the Fanfare Magazine described him as one who is varied in tone and alive to feeling.
