‘RIPD 2: Rise of the Damned” ended with Roy planning to live with Jeanne in the RIPD department.
Western action-comedy R.I.P.D.2: Rise of the Damned on Netflix is based on the Dark Horse Comics comic book series. The film, directed by Paul Leyden and starring Jeffrey Donovan, Penelope Mitchell, and Richard Brake, is a sequel to “R.I.P.D.,” from 2013.
It is set in 1876 and centers on Roycephus Pulsipher, a sheriff who perishes and joins the Rest in Peace Department as an agent. Roy and his partner Jeanne set out to correct the anomaly when they learned that a doorway connecting Hell and Earth had been breached.
They are unaware that the boundary breach was not an accident but rather the deliberate conduct of a malicious entity. Here is all you need to know about “R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned’s” ending.
R.I.P.D. 2 Ending Explained: What Happened to Roy in the Sequel?
At the end of “R.I.P.D.2: Rise of the Damned,” Roy is aware that he is unable to be with his daughter on Earth. He can try to talk to his daughter, but she won’t understand him.
She also shows him that they are in distinct human bodies at this point. Because they are in the bodies of two bounty hunters, their situation will be more challenging.
An unexplained occurrence occurs in Red Creek, Utah, at the start of the movie. The unknown guy is looking for gold by digging in a mine. However, he unintentionally destroys the earth, allowing a bad spirit to emerge and take control of the guy. A month later, Roy, the sheriff of Horseshoe, Wyoming, travels to the station to pick up his daughter and her fiancé.
The Samuels, a band of robbers, immediately launched an attack on the townspeople. Someone shoots the sheriff from behind as he takes out one robber at a time.
After being taken to an office in the hereafter, the sheriff is informed that he will be joining the Rest in Peace Department (R.I.P.D.). His responsibility is to return the slain who have avoided judgment and are currently wandering the earth.
The sheriff begins a new investigation into the previous land thief. It turns out that the major, whose name is Otis Claiborne, is a barrier separating Hell and Earth.
To do this, Roy leaves for Earth and meets Jeanne, a partner from the department. He makes a promise to defeat the bandits after learning that his daughter’s fiancé was also slain in the bandit raid, and the narrative proceeds. He goes out to find the Samuel brothers despite Jeanne’s request that he leave them alone so that he may concentrate on his mission.
He fights with them after discovering them and learning they are slain individuals with bad spirits inhabiting them. Furthermore, they were there to abduct individuals for Otis Claiborne and take them to Red Creek, rather than loot them.
The ruptured gateway is located there as well. Roy and Jeanne intend to bring Slim, one of the Samuels, back to the R.I.P.D. after this trial. One of the invoices that Roy also discovers claims that Slim shot the man, but Samuel disputes this.
When Roy and Jeanne arrive at Red Creek, they learn that Otis is forcing people to dig deeper until the barrier is destroyed, which causes all cursed souls to rise from the Underworld and create Hell and Earth.
