Shortly after returning to Brazil for a blood transfusion, Feleppa died of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1993.

Michael fell into deep despair after the deaths of Feleppa and his mother.

Michael coped with the death of Feleppa, who died in 1993 at the age of 33, by using about 25 marijuana joints a day and focusing on music.

When his mother died about the same time as Feleppa, he took to Prozac as well.
