Franz co-hosted the Arizona Sports 98.7 morning show for the past 15 years. So, it was quite out of the blue for the shoemakers to say goodbye to Franz.

Turns out, it is not only Doug but also the whole The Doug and Wolf show is coming to an end. This means will be no longer seeing Wolfey on the program as well.

Franz departure from the show was mutual. Furthermore, he ended the era well-respected by the fans and the radio company.

What Happened To Doug And Wolf Show?

The Doug and Wolf Show is ending after more than a decade.

According to the vice-president of Bonneville Phoenix, Ryan Hatch, they wanted to welcome fresh morning energy to the Arizona station.

He stated, ” We are so appreciative of all of their great efforts over the years. But now is the time to bring new energy to mornings with an ensemble cast that will jumpstart each day with strong opinions and plenty of laughs.”.

The program will be replaced by the “Bickley and Marotta” featuring Dan Bickley and Vince Marotta. The afternoon program will move its slot from 10 am-2 pm to 6 am-10 am on September 7.

Where is Doug Franz Going?

Doug Franz is actually not going anywhere but is taking a different role in the station.

Apparently, Franz will now serve as the contributor of the Arizona 98.7. Though he may not be mainstream, he will be working behind the scenes.

On the other hand, Ron has joined another show. He will now take the 10 am-2 pm slot with Luke Lapinski for the brand new “The Wolf and Luke Show”.

The Doug and Wolf show which started in Jan 2007 gave many memorable moments to fans. Who can forget the Doug and Wolf fight of 2014 when Doug asked Wolf to shut up on live air.
