Nichelle Nichols Son: Meet Kyle Johnson

Kyle Johnson is a well-known American actor, best known for his role in the 1969 film The Learning Tree. Kyle Nichols is the son of Nichelle Nichols and her husband, Foster Johnson.

Kyle Johnson began his acting career as a form of punishment, accompanying his mother to an audition for a stage play.

When the director saw Johnson, he immediately cast him in the production. Johnson has appeared on television shows such as The Fugitive and The Mod Squad.

Johnson was a musician and songwriter who was active in the Los Angeles music scene in the 1980s. His song, “Ready To Receive” was recorded by independent folk and pop artist Claudia Russell.

Johnson had a radio show on KNFT in Silver City, New Mexico, in the early 2000s, which was the only left-wing show on the station, and also featured Rush Limbaugh and other conservatives.

Kyle Nichols’ mother  Nichelle Nichols died of natural causes in Silver City, New Mexico, on July 30, 2022, at the age of 89.
