Eddie Mekka was an American actor best remembered for his performance as Carmine Ragusa on the Laverne & Shirley television series. 

Unfortunately, the veteran actor took his last breath at his home in Newhall, California. He died on November 27, 2021. 

Pat Benti, Mekka’s longtime friend, confirmed his death on Facebook.

Even though Benti did not reveal the cause of his friend’s death, he did state that he passed away peacefully.

Mia Mekjian is the daughter of Eddie Mekka and his second wife, Yvonne Marie Grace. 

Eddie had previously been married to DeLee Lively, but their marriage had ended after nine years. From previous relationships, the actor had no children.

Eddie Mekka was 69 years of age at the time of his death. 

Mekka was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, as Edward Rudolph Mekjian. He received his diploma from Burncoat High School.

Eddie had studied music at Berklee College of Music. While there, He was shortlisted for a Tony Award for his effectiveness as the lead in the Broadway musical The Lieutenant in 1975.

Following that, the actor relocated to Los Angeles to establish himself in the acting industry.

Soon after, he was cast in two Garry Marshall-created Television programs: Blansky’s Beauties and Laverne & Shirley.
