McAlester Holly Cantrell Missing Found Dead: Murder Or Death Still A Mystery

On January 20, 2017, Holly Cantrell’s day began like any other. She left for work after taking her children to the bus stop. Holly went out for lunch near the end of the day, but she was never seen again.

Holly Cantrell had gone missing and later in February 2018, the skeleton was discovered, which was identified as her.

She drove down to the McAlester Regional Health Center on January 20, 2017, where she worked as an actual specialist. Tommy became concerned as the evening progressed when Holly did not return from work. Tommy couldn’t reach her on her phone, so he headed to the emergency clinic. He discovered her car was still in the parking garage, but she was not working. Tommy, who was worried, informed the police about her disappearance.

At the clinic, the professionals began poring over the observation camera footage. Holly was seen departing around 11:56 a.m., heading into the parking garage, and getting into a green pickup truck with someone else. She was dressed in green clinic cleans at the time. According to another account, she was later seen at a nearby café around 12:20 p.m. From then on, there were no traces of Holly.

The person who had picked her up from the hospital was later identified as Cody Ketchum, a family friend, involved in adulterous affairs with Holly. Following his address, he informed the police that he had dropped her off at the café since she was meeting a few friends for lunch. The two had intended to meet from then on, but Cody couldn’t make it and instead left her a message. Holly then informed him that she would return to the emergency clinic. She was never seen or heard from again. Holly was pregnant during her disappearance.

Mystery: Holly Cantrell Murder Or Death

A hare tracker found human remains approximately a mile from where the tote was recovered in February 2018. There were human bones scattered across a large area. The discoveries included an incomplete skull, as well as a bra and pieces of what appeared to be green clothing.

The area was searched for any additional hints, but all that was discovered was garbage. The remaining fragments were transferred to the University of North Texas for identification, but the family had to wait another two years for a response. The skeletal remains of Holly Cantrell were identified as hers in February 2020.

After the other components were identified, the case was to be investigated as a homicide. The Sheriff of Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, stated that they had few prompts to work with but planned to make a quick capture. At the time of Holly’s disappearance, authorities considered Cody and Tommy as persons of interest; however, the two of them had been cooperative, and there was no evidence linking them to her disappearance at the time. Currently, no one has been charged with Holly’s death, and the investigation is ongoing.

Holly Cantrell Family And Children

Holly Cantrell had a child from a previous relationship, while Tommy has three children from previous partnerships. The couple got married in 1999 and had two children together. Holly was depicted as a kind, patient mother who aspired to be dynamic.

Holly Cantrell was a 40-year-old woman who was born in California before migrating to Oklahoma. She lived in McAlester with her husband, Tommy Cantrell, whom she met when she was 19, and he was 46.

Holly was last seen alive on CCTV looking for work elsewhere at McAlester Regional Health Clinic for lunch on January 20, 2017, in McAlester, Oklahoma. At the time, she was five months pregnant.

Holly’s knapsack was discovered deserted around a month later. Unfortunately, Holly’s body was discovered in March of 2018 at a disconnected point near the Cardinal Point Recreation Area in Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, less than two miles from where her purse was discovered. Holly was formally recognized as the finding remaining components in February of 2020. Holly’s case is being investigated as a crime, but no charges or arrests have been filed as of yet.
