Mark Curtis is an American broadcast journalist, author, and political analyst. Curtis anchors 12 News at 5, 6, and 10 with Caribe Devine. For more than two decades Mark has been a member of Team 12. He is currently Chief Political Correspondent for the Nexstar Media Group stations in West Virginia.

He is a distinguished journalist and throughout the course of his career, he has received 13 Emmys, a Murrow, and two AP awards for Best Anchor. Mark made his first on-air appearance in the Valley in June 1980.

In June 1980 Mark made his first appearance on-air in the Valley. Mark traveled over the country covering sports for 12 News in those days.

He now anchors 12 News with Caribe Devine at 5, 6, and 10. For more than two decades Mark has been a member of Team 12. He is a distinguished journalist and throughout his career, he has received 13 Emmys, a Murrow, and two Best Anchor AP awards.

He stayed with the station until 1987 when he left for Minneapolis with his pregnant wife Abby. There, he was KSTP’s Sports Director, the ABC affiliate, covering the run of the Minnesota Twins to the World Series in 1987.

Mark had always wanted to return to Phoenix with his family. They did so in 1995 and Mark returned to 12 News, first as a sports anchor, and then moved to the news desk in 2004.
