Salman Saqib Sheikh aka Mani (born on 22 March 1976) in Karachi, Pakistan. He is an actor, politician, and host.

Career

Mani was born and grew up in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. He began his career as a junior anchor and host. Later, he became a sitcom and comedy actor. He is best known for his roles as Mani in the comedy TV series “Meri Teri Kahani”, Dr. Abhiyaan in the horror drama series “Bandish”, and the telefilm Dil Toh Bacha Hai.

After that, he joined Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP). In an interview with Samina Peerzada, Mani opened up about his interest in sports.

He did not think about introducing himself to the TV. Mani appeared in a theatre with a theatre group, but his original interest grew after his minor appearance in a theatre with a theatre group, Katha stars Sania Saeed and Nadia Jamil.

He wrote scripts for Fakhar-e-Alam’s popular show, Boom Boom Bastic. In 2001, he hosted the first-ever Road Show in Pakistan TV history called Streets, in which he handles the show by asking issue-based questions to the public of Pakistan.

Later, he also hosted two other roadshows called Road Romeo and Sarrak Chhap. After that, he did a comedy show called Sub Set hai alongside Azfar Ali, and Adnan Shah Tipu. Afterward, he also did a Radio Show with Azfar Ali.

After that, he cooperated with a music channel called ARY Musik, and began the political parody show Mani-ism. A similar show, Ulta Seedha, composed by Faisal Qureshi, co-hosted by Mani. In 2006, he hosted the first talk show Casual for the newly founded Hum TV.
