Lauren fell in love with news after her first reporting class in college, where she was able to discover the hidden stories in her community and became the voice for the voiceless. When Lauren is not at work, she can be found baking, spending time with family and shopping.
She grew up in DeKalb and fell in love with news during college. Lauren graduated from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism. She also received her Master’s Degree of Science in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism from Northwestern University. She is currently working on her MSJ at the Medill School of Journalism.
