Judi Farr, also known as Judy Farr, was an Australian actress who worked in theater, film, and television. She is best known for her roles in a number of Australian television situation comedies. She was born on October 5, 1938, and died in June 2023. Farr also acted in movies made in her native Australia, including December Boys and Walking on Water, for which she was honored with an AFI award.
My Name’s McGooley, What’s Yours?, a situation comedy from 1967–1968, is where Farr first gained recognition for her performance as Rita. In the brief-lived follow-up series Rita and Wally in 1968, she continued to portray the character. The dizzy wife Thelma in Kingswood Country, which premiered in 1980, was one of her later high-profile regular roles in a popular sitcom.
