Joe Gibbs and his wife, Pat Gibbs, had two sons, late J. D. Gibbs and Coy Gibbs.

Jason Dean a.k.a J. D. Gibbs is the late son of Joe Gibbs.

Jason was a stock car racing driver and co-owner of Joe Gibbs Racing, before his death.

He also played college football during his days at the College of William & Mary.

Jason passed away in his North Carolina home on January 11, 2019. He was aged 49.

He had suffered a brain condition which only grew worse by the day.

Jason left behind his wife Melissa and four sons – Joe Jackson, William Miller, Jason Dean II, and Zachary Taylor.

Coy Gibbs

Coy is the younger son of Joe Gibbs, who also used to be a NASCAR driver.

He has served as assistant coach with the Washington Commanders.

Coy was born on December 9, 1972, three years after his late brother, J.D Gibbs, was born.

Who Is Joe Gibbs?

Joe Gibbs is an American auto racing team owner and former professional football coach.

Gibbs spent many seasons as the head coach of the National Football League’s (NFL) Washington Redskins.

Over the course of 12 seasons, he steered his team to four NFC Championship victories and three Super Bowl victories.

Gibbs is one of the finest coaches in NFL history, and the only head coach to have won a Super Bowl.

His coaching career saw him coach various teams both as an offensive line coordinator and a running backs coach.

Gibbs founded the team Joe Gibbs Racing, which has since won five NASCAR Cup Series titles.

In addition to being a NASCAR Hall of Famer, Gibbs was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
