Jamey Rootes was an American sports executive who was the long-term president of the National Football League’s Houston Texans.

Jamey Rootes shared two kids with his wife of many years, Melissa Rootes. Chris Rootes and Caroline Rootes are Jamey Rootes’ children. They are both currently enrolled in school.

Caroline recently graduated from Episcopal High School, but Chris’ school’s name is unavailable. They are both thought to be in their adolescence or adulthood.

Jamey Rootes died on Sunday, August 21 2022 at the age of 56. Rootes’ death was announced by his wife on Facebook on Monday.

As president of the National Football League’s Houston Texans, he was in charge of the team’s business operations.

Rootes worked for the Texans for more than 20 years before resigning in February 2021. Rootes previously served as CEO of the Houston Dynamo FC of Major League Soccer and the Houston Dash of the National Football League.
