Edith Eger is an American Psychologist and author. She was born to Hungarian parents but fled the country as a Holocaust survivor. Later, she dedicated her life to treating post-traumatic stress disorder. 

The psychologist is the author of an intentional bestselling book titledThe Choice – Embrace the Possible. Similarly, she also published The Gift 12 Lessons to Save Your Life in 2020.

Edith Eger Age: How Old Is She?

Edith Eger is the age of 90 years old.

Her birthday falls on September 29, 1927.  Likewise, Edith was born as the youngest child to Jewish parents: Lajos and Ilona Elefánt. Furthermore, her father worked as a tailor. 

As a young child, Eger trained to become a talented ballet dancer and gymnast. However, when she was just a teenager, the Hungarian government imposed the infamous anti-Jewish law in the country. Following this, Edith was removed from the Gymaistic team.

However, her problems did not stop here. The whole  Elefánt family was forced to live Košice ghetto. Over time, Eger lost her parents and fiance Eric in the holocaust.

Edith was recused in 1945 along with her sister. Similarly, the American military found in her extremely fragile condition. 

Her Husband And Family Explored

Edith Eger was married to her husband Albert Bela Eger.

During her time at the American hospital, Eger had bonded with Albert and got married to him. Likewise, even Albert was a holocaust survivor. After recovering, Eger returned back to Kassa. 

However, due to constant communists threat, she couldn’t stay in her country. Ultimately, she moved to America.  

Edith Eger expanded her family with five children in the USA.

In 1993, Albert died of natural causes. Now, Edith lives with her children and grandchildren. Moreover, she seems to be in a relationship with a man, whose name is not disclosed yet.
