Gary Dourdan’s parents are Sandy Durdin and Robert Durdin.

His parents were both born to African-American families.

Gary’s mother Sandy Durdin is a teacher and fashion designer, and his father Robert Durdin is an entrepreneur and agent for jazz musicians.

Apart from Gary Dourdan, they are also parents to four children.

Their son Darryl Durdin was murdered in March 1973 while on vacation in Haiti at age 21. He was pushed to his death off a motel balcony on a high cliff. The case is still unsolved.

Gary Dourdan is an American actor, musician and record producer.

As a child, he outshined in music, playing a series of instruments including piano, guitar and saxophone.

Dourdan studied with legendary acting coach Lee Strasberg, and by the end of the 1980s, began performing in off-Broadway plays.

After meeting Debbie Allen producer of “A Different World” (1987-1993) in Paris, Dourdan was cast as Shazza Zulu, a recurring role he played for over two seasons. He has since starred in several movies and television series.

Dourdan was a model in the 1980s and 1990s for Boss Models in New York City.
