Farah Jadran Career

Jadran serves as the weekday anchor for CBS 5 This Morning and CBS 5 at Noon. She has been a journalist working the Central New York community for more than 10 years.

In the year 2011, Farah helped launch Syracuse Woman Magazine, the area’s first and only award-winning women’s publication. It’s still in circulation online and on stands across CNY.

Farah worked as managing editor of SWM for over four years covering women’s health, education, politics, culture as well as a business. In the year 2012, Farah helped launch WCNY’s “Insight” – a public affairs TV show tackling tough issues across several Upstate New York counties. Prior to leaving this post a year later, as the host and co-producer, Farah covered the heroin epidemic in multiple Central New York counties, vacant housing problems plaguing communities as well as the long-running efforts to clean up Onondaga Lake.

Farah left SWM to pursue an opportunity in digital, social media as well as broadcast journalism at what was then known as Time Warner Cable News.
