Devon McCourty (born August 13, 1987) is a defensive back and kickoff returner for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He was born in New York City (NFL). After starring for Rutgers University in college football, he was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. On the Patriots’ roster, McCourty is listed as a defensive back, although he has spent his career at both cornerback and safety. He has been selected to the Associated Press All-Pro team at both cornersback and safety throughout his career (cornerback in 2010, safety in 2013).
