Christian Edward Johnston Horner OBE is a former British racing driver and the current Team Principal of the Red Bull Formula One team, a position he has held since 2005.
He has won nine world championships (four World Constructors’ Championships and five World Drivers’ Championships).
Horner’s racing career began in 1991 when he won a Formula Renault scholarship. He raced for Manor Motorsport in the 1992 British Formula Renault Championship, finishing the season as a race winner and the highest placed rookie.
In 1999, he changed jobs to become the head of the International Formula 3000 team Arden International Motorsport.
Horner was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2013 Birthday Honours for his contributions to motorsport.
