The incident occurred at 1:43 am on a Sunday in the 400 block of Baldwin Avenue, where gunshots were reported.
Sharon Police Department swiftly responded to the scene and found Chad suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
First-responding officers provided immediate aid before he was rushed to Sharon Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Department.
Sadly, at 2:36 am, Chad Runyan was pronounced dead due to a gunshot wound to the chest, as ruled by Mercer County Coroner John Libonati.
This tragic event remains under active investigation, and the authorities are working diligently to gather more information.
The Sharon Police Department is being supported by the Mercer County District Attorney’s Office, the Mercer County Coroner’s Office, and the Sharon Fire Department throughout this process.
