Tepler and his business partner, Paul, have borrowed more than $100 million in full recourse personally guaranteed construction loans. According to his Twitter post, he has returned all the money.

It is important to note that these are commercial loans and do not appear on personal credit records.

Aside from that, Artem was the grandson of a Russian military officer. Tepler was nine years old when he emigrated to the United States from Russia.

Tepler received his schooling at Rutgers Business School in New Jersey, where he studied finance. He founded his real estate investing enterprise at the time.

Tepler made his first investment when he was 23, and he has since been working actively as a real estate developer. He relocated to Los Angeles after graduating. Tepler founded Schon Tepler in 2009.

Following Artem Tepler’s unexpected death, friends and well-wishers have expressed their condolences. He was known to have suffered from despair and anxiety, which led to his suicide.

Paul Schon started a GoFundMe page to show his appreciation for the love and support of Artem.
