American hip-hop artist Curtis Jackson, known by his stage name 50 Cent, has become a suspect in a criminal case involving assault after throwing a microphone into the crowd and injuring a fan during one of his concerts. This incident was reported by TMZ. On the evening of August 30, the rapper was performing in Los Angeles as part of his tour, The Final Lap 2023. During the show, his assistants repeatedly handed him malfunctioning microphones, which angered him and led to him throwing the device into the crowd, hitting a woman in the head. The victim was identified as Briana Monaghan, a radio host from the local station. She sustained an open wound on her head and was hospitalized. Monaghan filed a police report against the musician, resulting in the initiation of a criminal case. According to the victim, 50 Cent intentionally hit her, as he was looking directly at her at the moment of the incident. However, TMZ, citing eyewitnesses, claims that this was not the case. Earlier, it was reported that British pop singer Adele paused her concert to reprimand the venue's security staff for allegedly disturbing a fan. The incident took place in Las Vegas during her performance of the song "Water Under the Bridge." Adele interrupted her performance to inquire why the security guards were bothering one of the audience members.
