48 Hours Discusses The Murder Of Florida Man Patrick De La Cerda, Where Is Her Girlfriend Jessica Devnani Today?

Jessica Devnani and Daymara Sanchez were the victims of Gregory’s hateful crime which led to Gregory killing Jessica’s fiance.

The latest installment of CBS’ true crime documentary series 48 Hours centers on the 2018 murder of Patrick De La Cerda, a native of Deltona. Gregory Bender, the ex-boyfriend of Patrick’s fiancee Jessica Devnani, shot him to death at his house.

After Patrick died on February 27, 2018, Jessica informed the authorities of her concerns that Bender was responsible for the murder.

Where Are Jessica Devnani And Daymara Sanchez Today?

Jessica has been devastated ever since the loss of her fiance. When Gregory let the best of himself get ahead of him, he committed a heinous crime which led to his killing of Jessica’s fiance.

Devnani still wears the engagement ring her fiance gave her. She explained that the scene after finding her fiance on the ground after getting shot was very horrific.

Daymara was Gregory’s ex-partner who gave the police lead about Gregory’s involvement in the murder of Patrick De La Cerda. Daymara acted as a hero in this case and helped in Gregory’s arrest.

However, Jessica is still devastated at the loss of her fiance. She feels like her life and happiness were taken away too soon.

What Happened To Patrick De La Cerda?

According to CBS News, Jessica Devnani and Patrick De La Cerdia first connected in June 2017 through the dating service Plenty Fish. In December 2017, he asked her to marry him, and she joyfully accepted.

Patrick had purchased a unique band for her even though he had only used a temporary ring to pop the question. He was anticipating receiving the ring at his Deltona, Florida, home.

Patrick was fatally murdered on February 27, 2018, inside his house. After not hearing from him in the morning, Jessica hurried over to his house where she discovered he had passed away.

Jessica spoke to the police about her supposedly envious ex-boyfriend Gregory Bender, who she split up with after learning that he was wed to Daymara Sanchez.

Despite Devnani’s statement aiding the authorities in casting suspicion on Bender, they were unable to uncover any conclusive proof connecting him to the homicide.

How Was Daymara Sanchez Related To Jessica?

Devnani, who is 20 years Bender’s junior, first connected with him online in 2009. Until Bender’s secret was revealed at a hospital where Devnani met Sanchez and was informed she was his wife, the two had been dating for eight years.

Bender apparently started sending Jessica threatening messages after she started dating Patrick which was shown to the police but it was not enough evidence to arrest Gregory.

Daymara, Bender’s ex-wife, gave them a critical tip when she heard a news article about Patrick De La Cerda’s murder and informed them of her suspicions of his participation.

Sanchez disclosed to authorities that she had discovered notes in her ex-notebook husband’s that detailed a murderous scheme. The letters were recovered in a trash bin along with shot shells that matched those located at the crime site, despite the fact that she claimed he disregarded them as mere “fantasy,” according to CBS News.

After being detained, Bender was given a first-degree murder accusation. He was later convicted guilty of killing Patrick De La Cerda & given a life sentence without the chance of release.
